New Year’s Paint N' Sip Party

Our awesome staff of Capri Gardens put together a New Year's party for our residents that they are still buzzing about! The theme of this year's party was Paint N' Sip, where residents could enjoy a beverage of their choice while letting their imagination and creativity run wild. We had music, festive New Year’s hats, snacks, wine and nice door hangers to paint.

Even though our Activity Director was out sick, Hallie (Dietary Cook), NiKeysha (STNA), Amber (Nurse), Mykayla (STNA) and LaShawn (Housekeeping Manager) still made it a success for our residents. We even had help from Stephanie, a sister of one of our current residents, who likes to come in and volunteer her time with activities. Although this is something we host annually, this year was extra special because we had staff members in every department come together to plan a special day for our residents.



Events like this are so important for our facility because they give residents the opportunity to enjoy themselves and live with the same quality of life they would have on their own in the community. We planned the event with the intention of our residents welcoming the new year, socializing and enjoying a moment together.

One of our residents, Billie Jo H., shared, "My favorite part was the paintings, along with the snacks and drinks! It was such a good time to get out of our rooms and celebrate. Most importantly, a lot of people came out to participate and even help out with serving snacks and drinks.”
