NOTE: This was taken from the blog of Foundations Health Solutions leader Bob Speelman. Bob works closely and frequently communicates with our Foundations Health facilities. It is so inspiring to see how each care team embodies the vision of our founder and nursing home developer, Brian Colleran, to be "A Culture of Care."
I had the pleasure of working with Julianna Mensah yesterday at Capri Gardens, our Nursing Center in Lewis Center, Ohio. Julianna is 55 years old and has been a Nursing Assistant for 20 years. Julianna moved to the United States from Ghana, West Africa, and has been at Capri Gardens for two years now.
Julianna met her husband when she was living in Boston, and they have a daughter that is 19 and a son who is 17. Julianna is very involved in her local church and loves watching soccer or, as she calls it, “Football." To be around Julianna for just a couple of minutes, you feel like you have been reunited with someone you’ve known for years. She is so loving and caring and makes you feel instantly at ease. Julianna has a gift for caring for people, especially the elderly and is an absolutely amazing person. The entire day went by so fast, and it was a privilege to witness her love and care she gave our residents.
God bless-you, Julianna! It is an absolute honor to have you on our Care Team. The love you show our residents and the care you provide is extraordinary. Thank you for caring for them.
