Joanne's Rehabilitation Success Story

Joanne Scott came to this facility following a fall in her home, resulting in multiple fractures in her left leg as well as her right arm. She also had orders for no weight bearing on her left leg or right arm, impacting her ability to function on her own and return back to her home safely.

Joanne has a positive outlook on life that was very enjoyable to be around, and loved teasing our staff! She has a history of fostering many children with medical needs and enjoys reading in her spare time. Upon admission, she required about 50% assistance for moving around in her bed, was unable to walk, and was dependent on staff to assist in transfers and her daily activities due to her restrictions.



With hard work, determination, and a sense of humor, Joanne was safely discharged back to her home, able to move around independently, complete transfers, and walk 90 feet with a walker! She also does all of her own care and activities, requiring no assistance. Joanne is looking forward to returning home to live independently with her family and see her two dogs.
